Digital copies of maps on this site
The digital copies of maps presented here are intended as a depiction of what the original map looks like, but are not intended to be suitable for research use. In cases where the original map size is 11'" x 17" or smaller and the map's condition permits, the digital image has usually been obtained with a flatbed scanner; these images are of similar quality to a photocopy. Images of larger maps have usually been obtained with a digital camera.
All maps indexed here are available for research use at the Seattle Municipal Archives.
