AN ORDINANCE authorizing, in 2018, acceptance of funding from non-City sources; authorizing the heads of the Executive Department, Department of Parks and Recreation, Human Services Department, Law Department, Seattle Police Department, Seattle Fire
Department, Department of Construction and Inspections, Seattle City Light, and Seattle Public Utilities to accept specified grants, private funding, and subsidized loans and to execute, deliver, and perform corresponding agreements; and ratifying and
confirming certain prior acts.
Section 1. The Mayor or the Mayor’s designee, the Superintendent of Parks and Recreation, the Director of the Human Services Department, the City Attorney, the Police Chief, the Fire Chief, the Director of the Seattle Department of Construction
and Inspections, the General Manager & Chief Executive Officer of Seattle City Light, and the General Manager & Chief Executive Officer of Seattle Public Utilities are authorized to accept the following non-City funding from the grantors
listed below; and to execute, deliver, and perform, on behalf of The City of Seattle, agreements for the purposes described below. The funds, when received, shall be deposited in the receiving funds identified below to support, or as reimbursement for,
the corresponding appropriations set forth in the ordinance introduced as Council Bill 119430.

Section 2. The General Manager & Chief Executive Officer of Seattle Public Utilities is authorized to accept a subsidized loan from federal/state agencies.
Section 3. Any act consistent with the authority of this ordinance taken after its passage and prior to its effective date is hereby ratified and confirmed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force 30 days after its approval by the Mayor, but if not approved and returned by the Mayor within ten days after presentation, it shall take effect as provided by Seattle Municipal Code Section
1.04.020.
