Title

AN ORDINANCE relating to the 2000 COMPASS Initiative, authorizing the execution of an agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice, National Institute of Justice for financial assistance in the amount of Six Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($625,000) to enhance public safety through mapping, planning, and analysis technologies; accepting the money when received; increasing the 2000 Budget of the Strategic Planning Office by making reimbursable appropriations; adding positions (of which some will be exempt from the Civil Service) in the Strategic Planning Office; and ratifying and confirming prior acts; all by a three-fourths vote of the City Council.
