ORDINANCE _________________ AN ORDINANCE authorizing, in 2011, acceptance of funding from non-City sources; authorizing the heads of the Seattle Fire Department, Seattle Police Department, Department of Planning and Development, Department of Neighborhoods, Department of Finance and Administrative Services, Human Services Department, the Office of Economic Development, Seattle Department of Transportation, and Seattle Public Utilities to accept specified grants and private funding and to execute, deliver, and perform corresponding agreements; and ratifying and confirming certain prior acts. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF SEATTLE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Fire Chief, the Chief of Police, the Director of Planning and Development, the Director of the Department of Neighborhoods, the Director of Finance and Administrative Services, the Director of Human Services, the Director of Economic Development, the Director of Transportation, and the Director of Seattle Public Utilities are authorized to accept the following non-City funding from the grantors listed below, and to execute, deliver, and perform on behalf of the City of Seattle, agreements for the purposes described below. The funds, when received, shall be deposited in the receiving fund identified below to support, or as reimbursement for, the corresponding appropriations set forth in the ordinance introduced as C.B. 117207.
Section 2. The Director of the Seattle Public Utilities and the Director of the Department of Finance and Administrative Services are authorized to accept the following non-City funding from the grantors listed below, and to execute, deliver, and perform on behalf of the City of Seattle, agreements for the purposes described below.
Section 3. The several provisions of this ordinance are declared to be separate and severable, and the invalidity of any clause, sentence, paragraph, subdivision, section, or portion of this ordinance, or the invalidity of the application thereof to any person or circumstance, shall not affect the validity of the remainder of this ordinance or the validity of its application to other persons or circumstances. Section 4. Any acts consistent with the authority and after the passage and prior to the effective date of this ordinance are hereby ratified and confirmed. Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force 30 days after its approval by the Mayor, but if not approved and returned by the Mayor within ten days after presentation, it shall take effect as provided by Seattle Municipal Code Section 1.04.020.
