      Seattle has had several National Guard armories. Among them are the Seattle Field Artillery Armory, built in 1939 on North Harrison Street, which became the Seattle Center's Center House after the 1962 World's Fair; the National Guard Armory on Western Avenue at Lenora Street, built in 1909 and demolished in 1968; and the earlier First Regiment Armory on Union Street between 3rd and 4th Avenues.
