Legislation Title:

A RESOLUTION to provide the Families and Education Levy Oversight Committee with advisors appointed from the Seattle Youth Commission who can provide valuable insight and perspective to its stewardship responsibilities.  

Summary of the Legislation:

This resolution will provide the Families and Education Levy Oversight Committee (FELOC) with youth advisors by allowing the Seattle Youth Commission to appoint two members to serve as advisors on the FELOC for one year terms beginning June 1 and ending May 31.

Yes, it affects the Office for Education (OFE) which staffs the work of the Families and Education Levy Oversight Committee. The OFE will be responsible for notifying the youth advisors of meetings, assuring that they receive the materials and agenda needed for meetings as well as overseeing that the terms are met and the positions are filled.
