Legislation Title:

A RESOLUTION calling for consideration of an overlay zone or other zoning options to promote mixed-use development in the Interbay neighborhood, and directing DPD to prepare legislation.

Summary of the Legislation:

This resolution calls on the Department of Planning and Development to develop and make a recommendation on a zoning overlay and other zoning options for consideration for the Interbay area.  The resolution also describes the goals of the potential regulations, and provisions that should be considered in the development of the proposal.

This legislation is part of the annual Comprehensive Plan amendment process for 2005.  The City Council developed the resolution to indicate its intent for consideration of regulatory changes that are made possible by the Council’s recommended Comprehensive Plan amendments.
