Legislation Title:
	AN ORDINANCE related to Seattle City Light’s Capital Improvement Program; amending the total dollar amounts allocated in 2005 for certain projects or programs in City Light’s 2005-2010 Adopted Capital Improvement Program.

Summary and background of the Legislation:

This proposed ordinance amends existing 2005 project allocations within the City Light Distribution Capital Program to increase the 2005 allocations for three projects, and make corresponding reductions in the allocations for two other projects.  Please see Attachment 1 to this Fiscal Note for details.

Ordinance 121660, which adopted the 2005-2010 Capital Improvement Program, stipulated the following: “Of the appropriations in the 2005 Adopted Budget for Seattle Public Utilities and Seattle City Light, expenditure on any project or program identified and assigned a project identification number in the 2005-2010 Adopted CIP shall not exceed by more than $1,000,000 the total dollar amount shown in the 2005 column for that project or program in the 2005-2010 Adopted CIP, without future Council authorization by ordinance.”  This legislation is proposed to meet the requirements of Ordinance 121660.
