City of Seattle Taxicab and For-Hire Vehicle Rules
These rules have been adopted pursuant to Section 6.310.140 of the Seattle Municipal Code (SMC) and are intended to implement various provisions of Chapter 6.310 “Taxicabs and For-Hire Vehicles.”
Ten new and revised rules were adopted to implement Ordinance No. 122763 (2008) and have effective dates as follows:

- R-6.310.315 --- Taxicab Vehicle Lease [Eff. 11-15-2012]
- R-6.310.320.L --- Taximeters [Eff. 8-26-2009]
- R-6.310.320.P --- Vehicle Size and Fuel [Eff. 9-2-2009]
- R-6.310.320.S --- Digital Security Camera Systems [Eff. 8-26-2009]
- R-6.310.330.N --- Taxicab License Transfers [Eff. 8-26-2009]
- R-6.310.380.A --- Green Vehicle Lending Program [Eff. 8-26-2009]
- R-6.310.500.A --- Taxicab License Issuance – Determination of Need [Eff. 8-26-2009]
- R-6.310.500.D --- Taxicab License Eligibility [Eff. 9-3-2009]
- R-6.310.530.I --- Temporary Fuel Surcharge [Eff. 8-26-2009]
