The Urban Sustainability Advisory Panel was formed in 2002 by Mayor Gregory Nickels as part of the effort to guide de
velopment and implementation of the Environmental Action Agenda and the City of Seattle's sustainabile development initi
atives, ensuring
clean air, water, and green spaces for the citizens of Seattle, protecting and restoring its natural environment while f
inding new ways to develop and grow the city, providing economic opportunity for all. The panel was comprised of city of
ficials,
leaders from local busineses, representatives from environmental groups, and other stakeholder groups in Seattle. Docume
nts consist of communications between City of Seattle employees and panel members regarding the formation of the panel a
nd meetings,
as well as minutes, presentations, and handouts from their meetings.
