Introduced as Council Bill 1176

Title

An ordinance relating to and providing for the improvement of 1st Avenue from Madison Street to Pike Street, and University Street from 1st Avenue to 2nd Avenue, in the City of Seattle by curbing the same with granite curbing, and by paving with vitrified brick laid upon proper foundation and also by similar curbing and paving of the roadways of all intersecting streets within the limits of said 1st Avenue between said points and also by constructing and connecting such catch basins and inlets as are necessary for the proper surface drainage, and providing the payment therefor by the mode of 'Payment by Bond' as provided by an act of the Legislature of the State of Washington entitled "An act authorizing the issuance and sale of bonds by cities, to pay for local improvements, providing for the payment thereof, and declaring an emergency", approved March 14, 1899, and Ordinance No. 5693 of said city, approved December 6, 1899."
