Introduced as Council Bill 21

Title

An ordinance relating to and providing for the improvement of Boren Avenue from a point midway between University and Union Streets, to Union Street; and Union Street from a point 60 feet east of the east margin of Terry Avenue to Boren Avenue; and Minor Avenue from University Street to Melrose Avenue; and Melrose Avenue from Minor Avenue to East Olive Street; in the City of Seattle by constructing through said portions of said avenues and streets, an ironstone pipe sewer of proper dimensions, together with all wyes, openings, manholes, lamp holes, ventilators, catch basins and flush tanks; the portions of said sewer on Boren Avenue and Union Street to be connected to the portion of Minor Avenue by constructing across private property from the intersection of Boren Avenue and Union Avenue to the intersection of Minor Avenue and Pike Street, in accordance with the agreement entered into by the owners of said property and the City of Seattle dated March 5, 1898 and filed with the Board of Public Works, and providing for the payment therefor in installments and establishing a fund for such payment by the levying and collection of special assessments upon the property benefited by the improvement, and providing for the issuance of bonds as authorized by an act of the Legislature of the State of Washington, entitled: "An act relating to the internal improvements in cities, authorizing the issuance and collection of bonds upon property benefited by local improvements and declaring an emergency, approved March 9, 1893, and under the provisions of Ordinance No. 3349, approved May 7, 1894, as amended by Ordinance No. 3340, approved July 11, 1894, and Ordinance No. 4492, approved March 5, 1897, and the city charter as now in force.
