Title

An Ordinance providing for the laying off, opening, widening, extending and establishing of Prefontaine Place, from the intersection of Fourth Avenue and Washington Street to the intersection of Fifth Avenue South and Jackson Street, providing for the changing and establishing of the curb grades of Prefontaine Place as extended herein, and of Washington Street and Main Street, each from Prefontaine Place as extended herein to Fifth Avenue, providing for the condemnation, appropriation, taking and damaging of land and other property necessary for the laying off, opening, widening, extending and establishing of the above grades, and the grading, regrading of the above named place and streets and approaches, thereto in conformity with the grades established herein, and for the necessary slopes for cuts and fills upon the property abutting upon said place and streets and approaches thereto; providing for the condemnation, appropriation and taking of the fee simple title to certain real estate adjoining said Prefontaine Place as herein extended, for the purpose of the slopes thereon, and for the use thereof as public parks and squares, or any other public use; and providing that a portion of the cost of said improvement shall be paid by special assessment upon the property specially benefited in the manner provided by law, and that the remainder of such cost shall be paid from the general fund of The City of Seattle.
