Title

An ordinance providing for the laying off, opening, extending and establishing of a public street and highway to be known as Empire Way from the intersection of Dearborn Street and Corwin Place, continuing south on Corwin Place to Judkins Street; thence southeasterly to Twenty-eighth Avenue South; thence south along Twenty-eighth Avenue South to Andover Street; thence southerly and southeasterly to a point near Fifty-seventh Avenue South and Rainier Avenue; providing for the laying off, widening, extending, altering and establishing of Renton Avenue from Holden Street to the west line of the southeast quarter of the southeast quarter of Section 2, Township 23 North, Range 4 East, W.M.; of Twenty-eighth Avenue south from Winthrop Street to Rainier Avenue; of Henderson Street from Yukon Avenue to Empire Way, as established herein; of a a public street and highway to be known as Sturtevant Place from a point near Renton Avenue and Fifty-third Avenue South to a point near Rainier Avenue and Fifty-first Avenue South; of Bangor Street from Renton Avenue to the west line of Block 10, Kinnear's First Addition to Rainier Beach, now a portion of the City of Seattle; providing for condemnation, appropriation, taking and damaging of land and other property necessary therefor, providing for the changing and establishing of the curb grades of said Empire Way from Dearborn Street to Rainier Avenue; and of Renton Avenue, as widened herein, from Holden Street to the west line of the southeast quarter of the southeast quarter of Section 2, Township 23 North, Range 4 East, W.M.; and approaches thereto; providing for condemnation, appropriation, taking and damaging of land and other property necessary for the grading and regrading of said Streets and Avenues and approaches thereto and necessary for the constructions and slopes for cuts and fills upon the real property abutting upon said streets and avenues and approaches thereto; and providing that the entire cost of said improvement shall be paid by special assessment upon the property specially benefited in the manner provided by law.
