Title

An ordinance relating to and providing for the improvement of Melrose Avenue North, from East Denny Way to East Roy Street; East Mercer Street, from Melrose Avenue North to Bellevue Avenue North; East Republican Street and East Thomas Street, each from Eastlake Avenue to Bellevue Avenue North; all in the City of Seattle by paving the same with asphalt laid upon a proper concrete foundation, concrete or brick gutters, concrete curbs with granite or armored concrete corners; and including as a part of said work the construction alteration or extension of sewers, side sewers and watermains, with their appurtenances necessary for the proper sewerage, drainage, water service and fire protection of said district; provided that where the grades exceed 8%, stone block pavement may be used; and provided further that Republican Street, from Eastlake Avenue to Bellevue Avenue North may be improved, at the discretion of the City Engineer, by constructing stairways, concrete walks, and parks; all in accordance with Resolution No. 2097 of the city council of the City of Seattle; and providing payment therefor by the mode of "Payment in Bonds", as provided by the laws of the State of Washington and the Charter and Ordinances of the City of Seattle.
