Title

An Ordinance providing for the improvement of Fourth Avenue and Fourth Avenue South, in the City of Seattle, from Pike Street to Washington Street, by the installation of a system of arc or cluster lights, as may be selected by the Board of Public Works, in accordance with Resolution No. 2000 of the City Council of the City of Seattle; provided, that the Board of Public Works of The City of Seattle shall not order, or permit, the contractor to begin work on that portion of Fourth Avenue lying between Seneca Street and Union Street until the lessees of the property abutting on said portion of said street shall have deposited in the City Treasury an amount sufficient to cover the entire cost of the installation, and filed with the City Comptroller a proper legal instrument agreeing to bear the entire cost of operation and maintenance of said system on Fourth Avenue between Seneca Street and Union Street during the life of the lease now held, or any extension or renewal of the lease held on said grounds by the present lessees thereof, their successors or assigns; and providing for the payment therefor by the mode of "Payment by Bonds," as provided by the laws of the State of Washington and the Charter and Ordinances of the City of Seattle
