Title

An Ordinance changing and establishing the grades of Fifth Avenue and Fifth Avenue South from Madison Street to Jackson Street, in the City of Seattle, and of the alleys in the several blocks abutting upon said streets, and of the approaches to streets and avenues intersecting the above streets and avenues, or any of them; and providing for the taking and damaging of the land and other property necessary in the grading and regrading of said streets, avenues and alleys, and approaches thereto; and providing for the damaging of property because of the construction and maintenance of a bridge, or viaduct, on Yesler Way and Fifth Avenue in conformity with such established grades; and providing for the taking and damaging of land and other property in the construction of all necessary slopes and retaining walls for cuts and fills upon the real property abutting on said streets, avenues, alleys and approaches; and providing for the ascertainment and payment of the just compensation to be made for the property rights taken or damaged for such purposes; and providing for the assessment of all property benefited, for the purpose of making such compensation, and for paying the cost of such proceedings, repealing all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith.
