Title

An Ordinance providing for the improvement of Jackson Street, from Fourth Avenue South to Twelfth Avenue South; Main Street, from Fifth Avenue South to Tenth Avenue South; King Street, from Fourth Avenue South to Twelfth Avenue South; Weller Street, from Fourth Avenue South to Twelfth Avenue South; Lane Street, from Fourth Avenue South to Eighth Avenue South; Dearborn Street, from Seattle Boulevard to Eighth Avenue South; Charles Street, from Seattle Boulevard to Eighth Avenue South; Plummer Street, from Seattle Boulevard to Eighth Avenue South; Norman Street, from Seattle Boulevard to Eighth Avenue South; Connecticut Street, from Seattle Boulevard to Eighth Avenue South; Judkins Street, from Seattle Boulevard to Eighth Avenue South; Addition Street, from Seattle Boulevard to Eighth Avenue South; and Fourth Avenue South from Jackson Street to Seattle Boulevard; Fifth Avenue South, from Main Street to Seattle Boulevard; Sixth Avenue South, from Washington Street to Seattle Boulevard; Maynard Avenue, from Washington Street to Seattle Boulevard; Seventh Avenue South, from Washington Street to Seattle Boulevard; Eighth Avenue South, from Washington Street to Lane Street; Ninth Avenue South, from Washington Street to Lane Street; Tenth Avenue South, from Main Street to Lane Street and Twelfth Avenue South, from Main Street to Weller Street; Seattle Boulevard, from the west marginal line of Fourth Avenue South to the north marginal line of Addition Street; of the City of Seattle, and of the approaches to the different alleys now located in the several blocks bounded by said streets and avenues, or any of them, and of the approaches to such streets, avenues and alleys, for such distance back, not exceeding two hundred fifty-six (256) feet from such streets, avenues and alleys as may be necessary to make proper and suitable approaches thereto, by grading and regrading the same, and providing for the construction of the necessary bulkheads and retaining walls, and providing for the construction of such temporary sewers, and the removal, alteration and reconstruction of the existing sewer system as may be rendered necessary by the grading and regrading of said streets, avenues and alleys; in accordance with the property owners' Majority Petition therefor, being File No. 28822 of the records of the City of Seattle, in the office of the Comptroller of said City, and appropriating the sum of thirty thousand dollars ($30.000.00) out of the general fund to apply upon the cost of said improvement, and authorizing the issuances of warrants therefor, and providing for the payment of the cost of said improvement over and above the amount appropriated out of the general fund by the mode of "Payment by Bonds," as provided by the laws of the State of Washington, and the provisions of the City Charter and ordinances of the City of Seattle.
