ORDINANCE _________________

AN ORDINANCE relating to City streets, renaming the segment of Airport Way South between 4th Avenue South and South Charles Street from Airport Way South to Seattle Boulevard South.

WHEREAS, the abutting property owners of the segment of Airport Way South between 4th Avenue South and South Charles Street, INS Holdings, LLC and South Downtown Partners, LLC, requested the renaming of that segment in honor of the historic street name, Seattle Boulevard; and

WHEREAS, the relevant public safety and public utilities agencies have reviewed the proposal and agree that no significant, negative impacts would result from this action; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF SEATTLE AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. The name of the segment of Airport Way South between 4th Avenue South and South Charles Street is hereby changed from Airport Way South to Seattle Boulevard South.

Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force 30 days from and after its approval by the Mayor, but if not approved and returned by the Mayor within ten days after presentation, it shall take effect as provided by Seattle Municipal Code Section 1.04.020.
