CITY OF SEATTLE

ORDINANCE __________________

COUNCIL BILL __________________

AN ORDINANCE authorizing, in 2013, acceptance of funding from non-City sources; authorizing the heads of the Seattle Fire Department, Seattle Police Department, Executive Department, Department of Planning and Development, Department of Parks and Recreation, Human Services Department, Department of Information Technology, Department of Transportation, Seattle City Light, and Seattle Public Utilities to accept specified grants and private funding and to execute, deliver, and perform corresponding agreements; and ratifying and confirming certain prior acts.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF SEATTLE AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. The Fire Chief, the Chief of Police, the Mayor or his designees, the Director of Planning and Development, the Superintendent of Parks and Recreation, the Director of the Human Services Department, the Chief Technology Officer, the Director of Transportation, the Superintendent of Seattle City Light, and the Director of Seattle Public Utilities are authorized to accept the following non-City funding from the grantors listed below, and to execute, deliver, and perform on behalf of The City of Seattle, agreements for the purposes described below. The funds, when received, shall be deposited in the receiving fund identified below to support, or as reimbursement for, the corresponding appropriations set forth in the ordinance introduced as C.B. 117770.

Section 2. Any acts consistent with the authority and after the passage and prior to the effective date of this ordinance are hereby ratified and confirmed.

Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force 30 days after its approval by the Mayor, but if not approved and returned by the Mayor within ten days after presentation, it shall take effect as provided by Seattle Municipal Code Section 1.04.020.
